James Austin Johnson frequently portrays Donald Trump on Saturday Night Live, which recently aired its season finale. Last time I checked Buca di Beppo wasn’t a collectible store so we would like to be able to remove the framed photographs from Buca’s men’s room. by Beppo.
He eventually makes it to the trial, sort of. “And instead you have a very shameful judge who said you’re not allowed to do this when in fact you should be allowed to do this because these are funny pictures,” he says. “And carbonara is very expensive. And I think carbonara – what is it, like four, five ingredients? Peas are bacon, you know, they give it another name, an Italian name, but it’s bacon. And I’m thinking some cheese, maybe some eggs. And it looks like breakfast, but it’s very delicious pasta. But they charge you so much.
Johnson played against Trump SNL since 2021, when it debuted in an episode hosted by Kieran Culkin. Last April, the late-night sketch show aired a sketch about Trump’s arrest before the recent trial. In the skit, Johnson’s Trump compares himself to Jesus. “A famous and wonderful man arrested for no reason,” he said. “If you haven’t quite figured it out, my friends, I am comparing myself to Jesus once again, and what better time than on his birthday, Easter. As we speak, I am being persecuted on a level the world has never seen – even worse than the late, great Jesus.
Yesterday, a jury in New York found Trump guilty of 34 counts of falsifying business records stemming from a payment to keep adult film actress Stormy Daniels silent about an alleged affair out of fear that this will harm his chances of winning the 2016 elections. The jury began deliberating on Tuesday before returning its verdict on Thursday afternoon. They were unanimous in their decision, which took them approximately 7.5 hours to achieve. Judge Juan Merchan set Trump’s sentencing for July 11, just days before the Republican National Convention.
