The firefighters responded to a shot down to Sim Valley on Saturday, with visible smoke reports from neighboring houses.
The plane, which would be a small plane, crashed in a residential area. Emergency stakeholders received information on the plane shot down shortly before 2 p.m. on Saturday, a spokesperson for the County of Ventura fire service said.
Emergency distribution reports relayed to firefighters said two structures caught fire in the Wood Ranch Parkway and High Meadow Street district. There would have been only one person aboard the plane, according to officials on the ground.
It is a story in development.
