A slight chance of thunderstorms is coming to the Denver area Friday afternoon, the National Weather Service said.
Generally sunny weather reaching a high of 88 degrees should be followed by a 10% chance of showers and thunderstorms after 4 p.m., the weather service said. Winds are expected to reach between 6 and 10 mph, with gusts of up to 16 mph.

The weather is expected to remain warm in Denver through Saturday with a high of 89 degrees before dropping to 77 degrees on Sunday.
A risk of showers and thunderstorms will begin on Sunday and continue through early next week.
Monday is expected to reach a high of 71 degrees to end the holiday weekend, with winds joining the stormy weather.
