EXCLUSIVE: Sky has reorganized its awards team with Charlotte Mardon-Heath named head of awards and original brands and Elisa Christophe joining this week as senior head of awards for film and TV.

Comcast-owned Sky just came off hit TV Original The day of the jackal, with Eddie Redmayne and Lashana Lynch, while the feature film with Kate Winslet Lee was shortlisted for the BAFTAs in four categories last week, including Best British Film and Leading Actress. Redmayne was nominated for a Golden Globe.

As we revealed late last year, Lee also became Sky’s top performer at the UK box office.

Elisa Christophe joins the Sky Awards team today as head of marketing and communications at commercial agency and production company Independent Entertainment, where she works on titles such as My policeman, black dog, Lewis Capaldi: How I feel now and the next Richard Burton film Mr. Burton.

The Sky Awards team also includes Emma Joseph as Senior Awards Manager and April Ogiamien as Awards Coordinator. The team reports to Harrison Kelly, Director of Original Brands and International Marketing, who last year took on an expanded remit covering original brands across scripted and unscripted Sky Originals, international marketing, awards and DEI within the original programming.

Gemma Thomas left Sky last year after five and a half years, most recently leading the awards team. She joined the international awards team for Apple TV+ based in London.

London gangs the third series is on Sky’s upcoming 2025 slate, while there will also be hopes of the well-received 2024 drama THE Tattoo artist of Auschwitz – already an Emmy nominee – will get traction at the TV BAFTAs this spring.
