The ski community cries one of their own.
Former American skier Ellery “Ellie” Curtis Died after suffering an injury to the head, local authorities confirmed to E! News, in a Tahoe lake, California, April 5. She was 26 years old.
While skiaing on the difficult track “Ahhh falls” on the elevator KT-22 of the Palisades, by Powder magazineFormer Dartmouth College crashed and has undergone several injuries in the process.
Although Ski Patrol responded to the scene in a few minutes, a spokesman for the County Sheriff Department to place later confirmed that the 26-year-old had been declared dead on the scene.
“Our hearts go to his family and to all those who loved it”, director of communications Elise Soviar said in a press release: “As they sail in this unimaginable loss.”
Curtis is survived by his parents Charles Curtis And Katherine Dolanas well as his sister.
During her stay in Dartmouth, the native of Vermont was the seventh-row women’s skier in the east, winning a place in the second All-American team in 2022 by ranking eighth in giant slalom at the NCAA championships.
