Perry, N.Y. — Police say there is no threat to the public and a “situation has been resolved” after the park was closed for a manhunt Thursday.
All entrance gates to Letchworth State Park remain closed. Multiple agencies assisted Irondequoit police in the search for a person of interest in a homicide investigation, according to New York State Police.
Police have not confirmed which incident the investigation is linked to.
Everyone staying in the park has been evacuated and officials are asking people to avoid the park’s hiking trails and camping area at this time.
This is a developing story. 13WHAM has a team on site and will provide details as they become available.
