Simon Jordan issues sarcastic response amid Thomas Tuchel links to West Ham

West Ham appear to have been warned against hiring Thomas Tuchel by talkSPORT pundit Simon Jordan.

Bayern Munich boss Tuchel has been linked with West Ham, while Liverpool could turn to the German with a replacement for Jurgen Klopp yet to be named.

talkSPORT understands David Moyes will leave when his contract at the London Stadium expires this summer while Klopp has already announced his intention to leave Liverpool.

Speaking on the White & Jordan Show on talkSPORT, Jordan was told that Tuchel could head to London when he leaves Bayern Munich this summer.

In a sarcastic tone, Jordan replied: “I can’t think of a more wonderful match than David Sullivan and Thomas Tuchel!”

This came in response to talkSPORT chief football correspondent Alex Crook who revealed Tuchel was one of the names West Ham were considering to replace Moyes.

The German has had a history of difficult working relationships with his bosses, including at Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and Borussia Dortmund.

At Chelsea, the new American owner in 2022 wanted a younger team profile while Tuchel reportedly wanted more experienced players.

At PSG, Tuchel said he felt “more like a politician than a coach”, infuriating the club’s bigwigs and at Dortmund he publicly criticized club CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke and had a rift over the training ground with chief scout Sven Mislintat.

Moyes looks set to leave West Ham at the end of the season when his contract expires, with all parties ready for an amicable exit.

Hammers sporting director Tim Steidten is actively drawing up a list of potential replacements and what may seem like a fanciful appointment may not be completely out of their league, with Tuchel having already left Bayern Munich at the end of the season .

A return to the Premier League appeals to the German, who may feel he has unfinished business in England after being sacked at Chelsea in September 2022.

Mark Goldbridge calls Thomas Tuchel ‘desired version of Mourinho’ and says he’s only good enough for West Ham if he wants another Premier League job

If West Ham don’t get him, perhaps Liverpool will as they search for a suitor, with Klopp bidding farewell to Anfield next month.

After nine years at the club, the charismatic German will leave Anfield and Liverpool bosses are scrambling to replace him, with Ruben Amorim and Julian Nagelsmann among potential candidates to take over this summer.

West Ham are in action on Thursday evening as they look to overturn a two-goal deficit against unbeaten Bayer Leverkusen in the Europa League, live on talkSPORT 2.

On the same evening, Liverpool are also set to stage an unlikely comeback following a shock 3-0 defeat to Atalanta at Anfield last week, with the second leg live on talkSPORT.
