The PC affair from the 80s of Silverstone began life as a joke of April fools, but the success of the FLP01 was apparently serious enough to deserve a follow -up. The company brought another beige case to the Calpex show this week, the FLP02 with vertical orientation (via Tom equipment).
If the original FLP01 Horizontal Orientation case called to the mind a DEKPRO COMPAQ of the era 386, the FLP02 is a dead ringtone for the type of case that you may have obtained for a generic PC 486 or early from the Pentium era. This extends to a turbo button integrated into the front – on vintage PCs, this button could actually determine how fast the processor has been authorized to operate, although here, it is actually a fan speed control instead. A front lock also locks the power switch in place to prevent it from accidentally turning, something other than real vintage PCs have really done.
Despite its retro facade, the FLP02 is able to integrate into modern PC parts even higher -end than the original FLP01. The USB-A and USB-C front ports are hidden behind a magnetic door at the front of the case, and its false-5.25 inch floppy disks are only lids for the drive berries that you could use for an optical reader or additional front I / O.

Despite its retro looks, the FLP02 still keeps support for modern equipment such as USB-A and USB-C ports facing forward.

Inside, the housing can adapt to full -size ATX motherboards and up to a 360 mm radiator for processor cooling, and Modern high -end GPUs such as the GeForce RTX 5090 or 5080 should be able to adapt inside.
Silverstone says that the FLP02 will be shipped in the third quarter or fourth quarter of this year and that US buyers should be able to obtain it for $ 220. You can, of course, buy a modern high -end PC case for much less money. But if this type of bait nostalgia did not move the goods, companies would not continue to indulge in it.
