The Algerian boxer Imane Khelif promised to continue his struggle to protect his “rights and the principles of fair competition” after the International Boxing Association (IBA) put legal action against the International Olympic Committee (CIO) for His participation in the Olympics of Paris 2024 in Paris 2024.
The suspended IBA said Khelif was not eligible to participate in the Olympic Games because it failed a sex chromosome test at the 2023 World Championships and was then prohibited. Khelif slaps IBA after complaint against ioc
After the official complaint of IBA, Khelif went to Instagram to slam the international body and said that she would not remain silent. “For eight years, I fought for my dream – eight years of sacrifice, discipline and perseverance to stand on the Olympic scene and represent my country with pride. I have won my place and I will continue to stay firm in the face of any challenge, ”wrote Khelif on Instagram.
“For the past two years, I have taken the high road while my name and my image have been used, unauthorized, to new personal and political programs by the spread and dissemination of baseless lies and disinformation. But silence is no longer an option.
“The International Boxing Association (IBA), an organization with which I am no longer associated and which is no longer recognized by the International Olympic Committee, has once again made basic accusations which are false and offensive, using them for Advance their program. Khelif added that she would take the necessary legal actions to protect her rights.
“My team carefully examines the situation and will take all the legal measures necessary to ensure that my rights and the principles of fair competition are confirmed. “Khelif is not a transgender athlete”
In the meantime, Ioc in a declaration of Cnn reiterated that Khelif and Yu-Ting are “not transgender athletes”.
