And he scored two goals, the second on a nice free kick a few moments after half-time.
This has led United fans to beg the club to sign the 29-year-old on a permanent basis, with his current contract expiring at the end of the season.
One fan said: ‘Sign him not only from this game but since January he’s been quality’, with another writing: ‘Sign the guy ASAP @ManUtd.’
A third posted: ‘I love this guy just want him to stay with us.’
While a fourth tweeted: ‘Really really hope we sign him permanently.’
Sabitzer has made nine appearances for United since joining on loan in January, scoring once in the FA Cup against Fulham.

But he’s only made three Premier League starts, which didn’t stop Austrian manager Ralf Rangnick, who coached United last year, from putting the midfielder in his starting XI against Austria. Azerbaijan.
And it worked out well with Sabitzer scoring the opener after 27 minutes before setting up Michael Gregoritsch to double the lead two minutes later.
It remains to be seen whether the Austrian signs for United at the end of the season as there has been a management change at his parent club.
Julian Nagelsmann, who also managed him at RB Leipzig, was sacked on Friday and replaced by Thomas Tuchel in a 24-hour whirlwind at Bayern Munich.
