“Benzo” is known for knocking out his opponent during his matches, and it appears he did just that, but this time also against Willings’ coach who was loudly shouting instructions from the corner.

Ringside footage has now emerged of Whittaker arguing with the trainer, who first shouted: “He’s getting f***ed.”

Whittaker stopped and motioned for the coach to stop yelling.

But Willings’ coach was furious and shouted again, “Shut up, you little rat.”

The former Olympic medalist interrupted his shot again, to signal the coach to sit down and be quiet, while shouting an inaudible response.

In a second clip, Whittaker’s rival fell to the canvas in a slide, to which his coach again shouted: “He’s furious.”

The crowd favorite once again chose to signal the furious cornerman to stop getting involved, in a simply incredible exchange during the round.

It shows exactly how confident the 26-year-old is, when he’s able to simply pause mid-step and confront an angry heckler.

This victory, however, was not as routine as the previous one for Whittaker, who was often stunned by his rival’s resilient attempts to fight back throughout.

Although after the fight he claimed to have let his opponent fight back to prove to critics that he was resistant to blows.

Tony Bellew calls talkSPORT to defend Ben Whittaker’s showboating but warns him of what he would have done if he had been taunted

He said after the fight: β€œIt was a disciplined performance but I broke it and looked good doing it.

“I kind of let it hit me if I’m honest. I have a really good chin, people think because I dance and make them miss that I can’t shoot.

“I can shoot and I just wanted to show it. I’m not injured and I’m ready to go next week.

β€œ2024 will be the year of the Surgeon.”
