Shooting in Long Beach leaves 7 injured; 4 Critically – Orange County Register
Seven people were injured in a shooting in Long Beach, authorities said.
The shooting happened around 11:15 p.m. Saturday in the area of South Street and Paramount Boulevard, according to Long Beach Police Department spokeswoman Alexis Lauro.
Four of the victims were in critical condition and three had non-life-threatening injuries, Lauro said. Some of the victims were transported to hospitals in private vehicles.
Suspect information was not available, she said. The shooter(s) fled the scene before the police arrived.
The motive was unknown, Lauro said.
Video news outlets OC Hawk and OnScene.TV reported that numerous shell casings were found on the street and in the parking lot of a South Street nightclub.
