If there was a doubt how the victory on Friday evening of Friday evening was for the Los Angeles dodgers on the diamonds of Arizona, the reaction of Shohei Ohtani to hit a gunshot, a three -point circuit clearly indicated it.
Through all the impressive exploits that Ohtani has accomplished during his eight MLB seasons – recruit of the year of the American league, three MVP prizes, hitting and successfully tanning, the first season of the 50-50 baseball – he was a humble superstar. He showed little emotion after great moments, apart from recognizing and celebrating with his teammates.

However, as soon as he contacted a low -thrown separator and inside Ryan Thompson, launching the ball in the right field seats, Ohtani turned his bat and raised his two arms in jubilation. He knew it was a great moment and showed it.
“Sho continues to put yourself in these places that you expect from the incredible, and he rarely disappoints,” said Max Muncy after the match, via MLB.com. “And it’s no different there.”

The D-Backs could have walked Ohtani to load the bases, but the manager Torey Lovullo has chosen to launch him instead. After the game, he criticized the choice of pitch rather than the strategy.
While Ohtani rounds up the basics, he hit his hands and pumped his fist after hitting the major blow in a wild game that presented four sleeves with four or more marked points. The D-Backs took an advance of 3-1 in the first round, but the Dodgers scored five in third to reach the Top 8-3. Arizona equaled the match at 8-8 with four points in the fifth, then took an 11-8 advance in the eighth on the circuits of Ketel Marte and Randal Grichuk.

The Dodgers began their rally in the ninth with four consecutive strokes against Kevin Ginkel, including RBI doubles by Andy Pages and Enrique Hernández, followed by a single RBI of Muncy which equaled the score at 11-11. Ginkel withdrew James Outman, but struck Michael Comforto with land to set up the heroism of Ohtani.
The Dodgers manager, Dave Roberts, tried to put Ohtani’s talent in perspective, comparing him to a former teammate who was great of all time in baseball.
“Between him and Barry Bonds, these are the two best players I have ever seen,” said Roberts. “I played with Barry. But what Shohei does in the clutch – I have never seen anything as he does in the clutch.”
Tanner Scott launched a ninth 1-2-3 to close the victory of the Dodgers. With the victory, Los Angeles improved at 26-13 and stayed in first place in the NL West, a match in front of the Padres of San Diego. The D-Backs fell to 20-19, six games behind the Dodgers for the fourth place in the division.
Ohtani hit his 12th season’s 12th circuit with 20 products produced and night 3 for 6 increased his average oblique bar to 0.304 / .408 / .655 in 37 games this season.
