LOS ANGELES– After breaking an Emmy record last year with 18 wins in one season, the FX hit “Shōgun,” swept its nominated categories at this year’s Golden Globes Awards.
“Chōgun” was nominated and won four categories, including Best Television Series (Drama), Best Actor, Best Actress and Best Supporting Actor. This made the series the most decorated show of the evening.
“Chō“Gun” star Hiroyuki Sanada, who won the award for best actor in a drama film, said that “this is not only for Japanese filmmakers or actors, but for filmmakers and actors around the world who have a great luck.” I hope this will be a great stepping stone for the next generation around the world. »

Season two of “Shōgun” is currently in the works. The first season is now streaming on Hulu.
Meanwhile, with “Shōgun’s”, The Walt Disney Company also won two other Golden Globe Awards, one for Kieran Culkin’s Best Supporting Actor performance in Searchlight Pictures’ “A Real Pain” and another for Jeremy’s Best Actor performance Allen White in FX’s “The Bear.”
