EASTERN COUNTY —
Sheriff’s homicide detectives are investigating after a woman was shot at her home in the East County community of La Presa on Tuesday, officials said.
Around 10:25 a.m., deputies responded to a disturbance heard in a 911 call coming from a residence on La Presa Avenue, north of Jamacha Boulevard, Lt. Daniel Wilson said.
Officers found the woman inside the home with at least one gunshot wound. The extent of his injuries was not immediately known.
The shooter left before the police arrived.
