The manufacturer of household appliances, Sharkninja, remembers around 1.8 million cuisers due to burn injury reports, according to a notice of the American consumer product safety commission displayed on Thursday.
According to the press release, the Ninja Foodi Op300 series risks burning users because the lid can be opened during use, “causing the leak of hot content”, according to the press release.
According to the Commission, 106 burns reports have been reported, more than 50 of which were second or third degree burns. More than 26 proceedings were brought against Sharkninja, according to the security committee.
“The security of our customers is an absolute priority for Sharkninja,” said the company based in Needham, in the Massachusetts in a press release in CNN, adding that the recall was in cooperation with the American commission and Health Canada. “This deals with reports that some consumers have been able to open the covers cooked at the pressure of certain units of these cooks during use, resulting in the combustion of hot content.”

The multifunction device, which can be used for pressure cooking and frying, has been sold at Walmart, Costco, Sam’s Club, Amazon and Target in stores and online. It could also be bought directly from the brand’s website.
About 184,240 of the reminded self -buyers were sold in Canada.
“Consumers can continue to use product frying and other functions,” according to the review.
The recall also includes all the replacement pressure cooker cover for the OP300 series which have been purchased as an additional part. Consumers must contact Sharkninja for a free replacement cover, depending on the notice.
