Shantel VanSanten and Victor Webster have finalized their divorce and included a specific custody agreement for their pets only.
The two agreed to give Webster custody of their shared dog, Nova, while VanSanten can temporarily take her for up to three weeks at a time, according to court documents filed Monday and obtained by Page Six.
However, when VanSanten finally receives the precious dog, she must send Webster — who frequently posts about taking Nova everywhere with him — updates on the rescue dog’s whereabouts.
However, court documents state that if VanSanten owns Nova for more than three weeks, she is required to pay her ex-husband $10,000 per day for each day the dog is not returned to her.
In addition to Nova, who served as a ring bearer at one of the former couple’s three weddings, VanSanten and Webster also shared two cats, Finnegan and Phillippa. The felines are now in the care of Webster’s brother, Vince.
Divorce documents also reveal that VanSanten, 38, and Webster, 51, have agreed to sell their shared Los Angeles home as part of the separation. VanSanten will pay an additional $25,000 to “equalize” the split, but neither she nor Webster will pay spousal support.
The former “Days of Our Lives” actor filed for divorce from the “FBI: Most Wanted” actress in April 2023 after one year of marriage.
A few months later, VanSanten also filed for dissolution and listed a separation date of January 10, 2023. Neither VanSanten nor Webster have given details about what led to their split.
The estranged couple, who met while filming the Hallmark Channel movie “Love Blossoms” in 2016, got engaged in February 2021.
Later that year, they tied the knot in three separate ceremonies. They first tied the knot at a town hall in Pasadena, California, after VanSanten’s grandfather unexpectedly passed away in August 2021.
“Even though it wasn’t planned, it ended up being the most beautiful day. We didn’t overthink it, we just went into it with our hearts wide open. It was beyond memorable,” the actress told Brides in July 2022.
They continued the celebrations by getting married at a Napa, California, winery in October 2021 and completed the nuptials with a third reception in her hometown of Luverne, Minnesota.
