Shadows of Doubt releases September 26

Sandbox detective simulation game Shadows of Doubt will leave Early Access and launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam on September 26 for $24.99, publisher Fireshine Games and developer ColePowered Games announced. Physical editions will also be available for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.

Shadows of Doubt first launched in Early Access for PC via Steam on April 24, 2023.

The full launch will coincide with a major update “that would make any private investigator shudder with fearlessness,” details of which will be announced in the coming weeks.

Shadows of Doubt takes place in an alternate reality in the hyper-industrialized 1980s. Think like a detective and use a variety of gadgets as a private intelligence investigator, collecting evidence and earning money by solving cases, finding and selling information and more.

Play your way in a fully simulated world with hundreds of citizens. Discover, meet and hunt down individual citizens, each with their own name, job, apartment and daily routine, in unique procedurally generated cities. Break into apartments, rummage through secret documents or hack security systems: even a discarded receipt can be the key to solving a case. Trace the receipt to a specific location, examine CCTV footage and match the time to the receipt to find out who it belonged to!

The entire world is fully simulated. Each citizen has an apartment, a job, a daily routine, favorite activities, places to go, and people to interact with. They live their lives independently, in a world that evolves with or without you. Discover this knowledge and use it to your advantage!

Think like a detective to solve the cases around you: check call logs, find passwords, read private emails, talk to people of interest, watch CCTV footage and much more to recover evidence and build your case.
