Minneapolis – The Giants expect to win most often when Logan Webb gets on the mound. Especially when he goes deep in a game. Especially when he limits the opponent’s offensive. Especially when it accumulates stick withdrawals.
For all its excellence, webb could not avoid the loss column.
Webb granted two points – both on a circuit – more than seven rounds with nine stick withdrawals, but took the defeat while the Giants fell to the Minnesota Twins, 2-1, Saturday evening in Target Field. For Webb, the second time in his career that he threw seven two -point ball handles, but ended up with defeat.
Heliot Ramos represented three of the four strokes of the Giants, finishing a shy triple of the cycle, but made an expensive error by being picked up at the third goal of the eighth round.
Ramos gave the giants an advance of 1-0 at the top of the second round with a solo circuit of Joe Ryan, his sixth circuit of the season. This advantage at a point would not last long, while Trevor Larnach, who attended the college school secondary school in Pleasant Hill, sent a webb sweeper on the fence of the right field for a two-point circuit, giving Minnesota an advance of 2-1. It was the first Homer Webb authorized since April 1, his second start of the season.
The director of twins, Rocco Baldelli, was ejected at the bottom of the sixth round for having played the Adrian Johnson reception plaque called Strike On Webb’s 2-1 Sinker in Carlos Correa. Baldelli threw her cap when he returned to the canoe, and webb struck Correa on the following whole.
With the giants who still dragged, 2-1, Ramos started the top of the eighth round with a double of the right field wall, then reached the third basis on the sharp line of Lamonte Wade Jr. The Giants had an excellent opportunity to link the match, but the receiver Christian Vázquez picked up Ramos on the third base, eliminating the potential connection race.
Christian Koss started the summit of the ninth round with a single single, but closer twins Jhoan Duran quickly erased the threat by inducing a double game. Willy Adames, the liaison race, struck the ball game at the end.
The penalty of noting
- Jerar Encarnacion (fracture of the left hand) began an rehabilitation assignment with Triple-A Sacramento, hitting second and playing the first goal. The majority of the inarnacion representatives with Sacramento will be at the first goal. The giants would like Wilmer Flores to have a main designated striker to maintain his health.
- The louveur Lou Trivino signed a minor league agreement with the Los Angeles dodgers after eraseing the derogations and chose the free agency earlier this week. Trivino granted eight points deserved in 12 1/3 rounds with the Giants.
