San Francisco – Tyler Fitzgerald should start its rehabilitation assignment with Triple -A Sacramento later Wednesday, but it is not clear as of the second -time injured player can return to the Giants.
Fitzgerald was placed on the 10 -day injured list, retroactive on May 1, with a fracture of the left coast, and the Giants match against the Arizona Diamondbacks in Oracle Park scored the 13th match he had to miss.
Manager Bob Melvin said the giants have different hours for Fitzgerald’s return, “depending on how he goes, what we have the impression he needs, how he responds every day.
“It would be nice to recover it as soon as possible, with all the left -handers we have come, but we are not yet sure.”
Including Wednesday, Christian Koss has played 12 of the 13 games since the last Fitzgerald match on April 30.
On Wednesday, Koss struck 0.258 (8-in-31) with eight stick withdrawals and two goals on bullets, but he hit his first career home run, a big home, in the second round in the Giants’ 10-6 victory over the Diamondbacks who won a losing sequence of four games. Koss also adds an additional dimension with its basic capacity and also played a flawless defense this month.
Aside from the May 5 match of the Giants in Chicago against the Cubs, when he played the third goal, Koss played almost exclusively to the second goal since Fitzgerald’s injury. He played three games at the third base and one at the Cop, versatility being one of the reasons for which he made the list of giants of the training camp.
Melvin felt that Fitzgerald was playing well before his injury and would play the second goal on the first return, but “I don’t know if he’s going to be there every day. We will also save you Koss.”
Rotation announced: The Giants announced their rotation for their three-game series against the A this weekend in Oracle Park, with Logan Webb going on Friday, Landen Roupp by launching Saturday and Justin Verlander, still looking for his first victory in a uniform of San Francisco, launching on Sunday. On Wednesday at noon, the A did not announce their three starters.
A giant spokesperson said the team expects almost three games for sales or sales. A fireworks will follow the match on Friday.
