San Francisco – A federal jury declared on Monday a sex worker guilty of voluntary homicide for having fatally killed a client in Presidio, according to the prosecutors.
Leion Butler, also known as Leniyah Butler, 21, of San Francisco, was acquitted from second degree murder, the American prosecutor’s office said in a press release. Voluntary savings leads to a maximum sentence of 15 years and a fine of $ 250,000.
On November 12, 2023, Butler did a sexual act on the victim in the East Beach region, then pulled a single blow in his eyes after asking for a refund, according to the prosecutors.
The prosecutors said that Butler then took the victim’s vehicle, led him to Hunters point and tried to wipe him fingerprints and DNA. Butler spent the rest of this morning to disperse physical evidence, including the weapon used to murder the man.
“We express our sincere condolences to the family of the victim, whose son and brother were removed prematurely, and Hope Teday Verdict brings a certain justice,” the American prosecutor Patrick D. Robbins said on Monday in a statement.
Butler, who remains in detention, should be sentenced on June 27, according to the prosecutors.
