A plane with several people on board crashed in the county of Coffee, Tennessee, about 60 miles south of Nashville, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
“The first reports suggest that 16 to 20 people were on board. Some were transported by plane in neighboring hospitals ”, the road patrol said In a post on Sunday afternoon. “It’s an active scene.”
Multiple People were transported by plane in local hospitals while others are assessed at the scene, the road patrol added to a Facebook publication.
CNN contacted local police for more information on the severity of injuries.
The initial information suggests that the plane was a parachuting aircraft, according to law enforcement officials.
