Several people were injured after a small plane carrying 20 people crashed in Tullahoma, Tennessee, the authorities said.
Medical helicopters made three passengers in local hospitals, said Lyle Russell, city spokesperson. Another was taken in an ambulance.
A spokesperson for Vanderbilt’s university hospital said that he had admitted four patients – one in critical condition and three stables. The spokesperson did not specify their injuries.
Other minor injuries were processed by the first stakeholders on the scene, added Russell. No one died in the accident.
The plane, one from Havilland Canada DHC-6 Twin Otter, crashed around 12:45 p.m. just after taking off from Tullahoma regional airport, according to the Federal Aviation Administration, which is investigating the accident.
The plane went on Old Shelbyville Road, according to the FAA.
Russell said it was a parachuting plane.
