Sergino Dest ‘could miss NINE MONTHS’ with knee injury suffered during PSV training… as US defender’s potential schedule revealed

Sergino Dest could miss up to nine months with a knee injury, according to a new report, as a potential timetable for the American defender was revealed.

Dest, a Barcelona right-back who has played this season on loan with PSV, himself confirmed the injury on Instagram while PSV admitted he would be out for an “extended period”.

And according to The Athletic, this absence could last until the start of 2025, with the media outlet reporting the nine-month schedule Monday evening.

The Athletic also said PSV were keen to make Dest’s loan move permanent, with the defender having contributed seven assists in 37 games this season.
