Self-transformed Optimus Primal changes from beast to robot with your voice
If you tell this Optimus Primal to deploy, he really will. Hasbro is unveiling an animatronic Optimus Primal toy on Thursday that automatically transforms between its gorilla and robot modes, just by talking to it.
The Transformers: Rise of the Beasts Command and Convert Animatronic Optimus Primal goes on sale today for $125 and includes a 12.5-inch Optimus modeled after the character’s appearance in the upcoming film, which premieres June 9.
The electronic toy includes 100 sound and motion combinations that will play along with self-transformation. The figure also includes molded fur detailing for his gorilla mode and two detachable sword accessories.

This Optimus Primal comes after two iterations of the self-transforming Optimus Prime, the latter being a $750 premium set that includes a transforming trailer.
The Optimus Primal will respond to any voice command (not specifically “Optimus, transform”, but you can totally use it). It is now available for pre-order on Hasbro Pulse And Amazon.
