To celebrate her 32nd birthday on Monday, the Disney Channel actress paid tribute to boyfriend Benny Blanco in the form of a personalized piece of jewelry.
In a new Instagram post, the singer sported a sunny look and a yellow Free People jumpsuit ($78), posing with her arms outstretched in front of balloons that read “Happy Birthday Selena” — but it was her diamond-covered “B” necklace that stood out in tribute to the producer and songwriter.
Her 14-karat gold, diamond-studded declaration of love comes from Los Angeles-based brand Baby Gold and retails for $600 for the gothic-style charm.
Blanco, 36, noticed and commented in approval: “I had the hottest chick in the game wearing my chain,” he said, quoting Jay-Z.
Friends and fans also poured in the comments, including “Wizards of Waverly Place” co-star David Henrie and stylist Erin Walsh. Sophia Roe, who appeared on an episode of “Selena + Chef,” showed her support, writing, “Happy birthday princess!!!!! You deserve every ounce of all this happiness! We LOVE SEEING THIS LOVE!❤️”
The couple have been dating since they were first linked in December 2023, with the lovers going public on social media after years of friendship that began in 2015.
Blanco wished his beau a heartfelt happy birthday on Instagram this morning with a photo of the couple cuddled up on set, with the star wearing a teddy bear costume he donned in the music video for “I Can’t Get Enough,” which starred Gomez, J Balvin and Tainy.
“I used to play a teddy bear in your music video and now I get to play you in real life… Happy birthday baby! I love you!” Blanco wrote in her caption. “I love you,” she simply replied, adding an adorable teddy bear emoji.
This isn’t the first time the couple has shown their love on social media. Just hours after confirming her relationship with the curly-haired producer, Gomez posted a black-and-white Instagram story showing off a “B” diamond ring.
Despite the hate she’s received from online trolls, the Rare Beauty founder has repeatedly supported her man, declaring in her Instagram comments that he’s the best thing that’s ever happened to her.
While Gomez has had her fair share of drama related to her public relationships with Justin Bieber and The Weeknd, the actress isn’t afraid to flaunt her love; she even recently revealed in a TikTok video that she was the first one to say “I love you” in her current relationship.
One wonders if the necklace was a gift from Blanco himself, or if the cookbook author has others in store.
