See Blake Lively’s sequined mermaid dress

The countdown to the 2024 Met Gala is officially on, and with just over 72 hours to go, the only thing we can think about is what everyone will wear as they walk up the museum steps. But until then, Blake Lively is helping us quench our fashion thirst with her latest look that seems to be a taste of what’s to come.

On Thursday, the actress stepped out to celebrate the launch of the new “Tiffany Titan by Pharrell Williams” collection at the Tiffany & Co. flagship store in New York, where she wore a teal dress worthy of this year’s ceremony. The Sleeping Beauties: the awakening of fashion theme. The exhibition is linked by nature and will be divided into three categories: earth, sky and sea. The latter of which Lively fully embodied, thanks to the ocean blue hue and fish scale pattern of her dress.

She accessorized with heeled sandals with sparkling aquamarine straps on the toes, along with Tiffany & Co. jewelry, including several giant cocktail rings, diamond drop earrings and a pendant necklace wrapped around ‘a wrist. Her signature blonde hair was styled in soft side-swept mermaid waves, while her makeup consisted of a coral lip, glowing skin and shimmery eyelids.

Shortly after Monday’s Met Gala, Lively will embark on her next fashion tour de force: the press tour for It ends with us (the film adaptation of the novel of the same name by Colleen Hoover), which will be released in theaters in August. And given her character Lily Bloom’s crazy style (think: double pants, peek-a-boo boxers), there’s no telling what she’ll wear.
