A second suspect has been arrested in connection with the shooting of a Littleton police officer.
Blanca Arrieta, 33, appeared in Arapahoe County District Court on Wednesday where she was charged with one count of aiding and abetting attempted murder in the first degree and one count of aiding and abetting a crime involving a crime, according to a press release from the Littleton Police Department. She was arrested on October 7.
Rigoberto Valles Dominguez, 33, is suspected of repeatedly shooting Officer David Snook – in the arm, leg and torso – on September 20 as officers responded to a call for shots fired in the 183 W. Powers Ave. area, according to police. Another officer, Cpl. Jeff Farmer, injured his knee in the incident.
Dominguez was arrested on September 24 in Brighton on suspicion of attempted first degree murder.
Arrieta was described by the police as a “aid participant” of Dominguez in the shooting. She is released on bail and the court ordered her to wear a GPS monitor and comply with pre-trial services.
Snook, a 13-year veteran of the department, married with three young children, is recovering.
