SEC charges crypto platform Forsage with $300M pyramid scheme

The Securities and Exchange Commission said Monday it has charged 11 people with creating and promoting a fraudulent platform that operated as a global crypto pyramid and Ponzi scheme.

The platform in question, Drilling has raised more than $300 million from millions of individual investors worldwide since its launch in January 2020. Forsage’s four founders——Vladimir Okhotnikov, Jane Doe (also known as Lola Ferrari), Mikhail Sergeyevand Sergei Maslakov— were among those charged and last lived in Russia, the Republic of Georgia and Indonesia, according to the SEC complaint.
