Season 3 of “The White Lotus”, episode 7: So what happened to Laurie’s wedding?

In The white lotus Season 3, the tensions between our three cattle in the teeth Laurie (Carrie Coon), Jaclyn (Michelle Monaghan) and Kate (Leslie Bibb) increased regularly for various personal and political reasons. However, in episode 7, the trio dinner has turned into a session of householders in good faith.

As director of the Earnest Hotel, Fabian (Christian Friedel) finally went on stage for his first performance at the White Lotus Restaurant, the group reached a simmered point where the public saw an overview of the reason why Laurie has such a problem with Jaclyn’s actions, and why she may have offered this resounding groan in the very first episode.

One thing is certain, we will need a little more details on what happened during Laurie’s wedding.

The penultimate episode of season 3 had many uncomfortable revelations following choices on the part of a full moon party in episodes 5 and 6 (pour a smoothie for the Ratliff brothers).

For the friends of the school, Laurie, Kate and Jaclyn, during the next day, the post-part-party pajama evening of Jaclyn with the coach of well-being Valentin (Arnas Fedaravičius) becomes the subject of the day in episode 6, with Laurie, slowly treating Jaclyn of the decision to) cheat on his boyfriend and b) do it with the man with herself. Laurie’s strategy to calculate the situation was to have a laugh, while Jaclyn lied to it in Kate and Laurie. But it happens more here.

In episode 7, on a bottle of rosé hastily ordered at dinner, Laurie makes a joke about the fact that Jaclyn is tired and all starts. Laurie accuses Jaclyn of being unworthy of confidence when Kate intervenes to describe all Valentine as “not so big”.

“Was it a big problem when she did the same with Dave?” Asks Laurie, explaining to Kate: “At my wedding, she was Dave everywhere. I’m sure you remember.”

Who is Dave, friends? It would be Kate’s husband. This means 15 years ago, at Laurie’s wedding with her ex -Brian, Jaclyn would have been “everywhere” the friend’s partner most In his corner right now. We do not know if Kate and Dave were together at the wedding of Laurie, but if Laurie provides this news as proof of the models of behavior by Jaclyn, we assume that they were coming out at least (or at the very least, Kate had already expressed an interest in him).

Jaclyn denies the event, but we all know that she is not only an actor but a fairly good liar at this stage with the whole thing of Valentin. After Jaclyn and Kate (defending Jaclyn at the time) drop crunchy and cruel householders on Laurie, Laurie leaves some of her own revelations on the table and heads for the Muay Thai fight in town.

It is not clear that we will actually get more information on what exactly happened at Laurie’s marriage in the final.

In episode 1, when the guests arrive for the first time at the White Lotus and the trio moved to their villa for the evening, Laurie calls him one night and heads for her room. It is here, looking at Jaclyn and Kate having a comfortable conversation, Laurie emits the most dying, the most dismal and repressed groans that we heard at a time. It seems that she buries a truth here on the deep emotional impact of her friends on her. Slowly but surely, during the season, we are devoted to the dynamics between the three, and this seems to be one of the slightly toxic competitors from Jaclyn’s point of view, in particular with the partners of his friends or the romantic interests.

Perhaps we will have a scene where Kate confronts Jaclyn on what happened between her and Dave at the wedding of Laurie. Maybe we will not. But the real question will be what Kate will now do with this revelation and if her friendship is really worth it. Give us the details, Laurie!
