The former star of the west coast and the star of West Perth Sean King was tragically died at the age of 60, following a short illness.
The inaugural eagle had fought against cancer and died on Wednesday.
He comes after King was honored by West Perth on Sunday, the club presenting him a life subscription.
The tributes flocked for the old winger, the Eagles writing Thursday: “The eagles of the west coast are saddened by the death of the inaugural member of the Sean King team on Wednesday after a short illness.
“The club sends sincere condolences to the family, friends and relatives of King.”
King started playing football for West Perth in 1986.
He was going to play 60 games for the club, returning 48 goals.

He comes after King received a life subscription from West Perth on Sunday
The eagles of the west coast were founded in 1986, but only entered the VFL the following year. King would be called to play for the footy club as part of their first team in 1987.
He would play a VFL match for the west coast in the final of the club’s first season, making two goals against St Kilda while turning 21 eliminations to stimulate victory.
A football fan told King’s performance during this match.
“He played very well,” he told Channel 7.
“He obtained 21 possessions and scored 2 goals. It was very unlucky to no longer have games for Eagles. RIP’
After leaving West Perth in 1989, King would come back to play 10 games for East Perth in the WAFL during the 1991 season before hanging up on his boots.
The West Perth Football Club offered its condolences to parents and friends of the kings and adding that it was an “honor” to present a life subscription to him this weekend.
“The West Perth Football Club family expresses our deepest sympathies to his wife Anita and the children, Jordan, Hannah, Tom and his extended family,” the Falcons wrote in a statement.

“Sean’s involvement with West Perth Football Club covers three decades, during which he had an indelible impact on the success of the club and the community spirit.
“Sean has played 60 games for the West Perth Football Club, presenting his skills and his commitment to the match. His capacities have been recognized as a member of the Eagles inaugural team from the west coast.
“After his player career, Sean continued to serve West Perth as a runner from the League from 2002 to 2018. Sean played a key role in the club’s success on the field, especially as Prime Minister runner in the first 2003 and 2013.
“Sean was a big guy, with a contagious personality and was loved by all players, staff and volunteers.
“It was an honor for the West Perth Football Club to present his adherence to life to Sean really deserved on Sunday in front of his family, his friends and the former players and coaches of West Perth.”
Friends and former teammates also paid tribute to King.
“The sad news went too early,” said an ex-team.
“Bloke and first -law champion of Première. A great teacher of the game to so many young guys. Rip legend.
