On Friday, a Manhattan judge more and more featured the gray hair Sean “Diddy” Combs to delay his trial on sex traffic of two months.
The imprisoned music magnate had asked for openings in the case in the case closely watched to be postponed until July so that it has more time to continue the evidence to use for its defense.
But judge Arun Subramanian denied the request, noting that the 55 -year -old music magnate has many resources to prepare for his trial in May, including lawyers for four defense companies.
“We do not know why there is not enough time to prepare,” said Subramanian in a two -hour courtyard before the Federal Court of Manhattan.
The judge also judged that three of the alleged victims of Combs in his bomb indictment will be authorized to testify during the trial using pseudonyms.
These witnesses will take the position alongside the ex-girlfriend of Combs, Cassie Ventura, who, familiar sources with the case, confirmed to the post, agreed to testify by using his real name.
The Combs were seated calmly at the Defense Table Friday in an outfit issued by the prison sporting a bearder which became increasingly gray during the months which followed his arrest in September 2024. He was detained without deposit at the Brooklyn metropolitan detention center, where the detainees are not allowed to use the hair tint.
The rapper “I’m going to miss U”, born in Harlem, is accused of directing his Label of Bad Boy Records as a criminal company and forcing women to engage in sex marathons fueled by drugs which he called “freak-offs”. He pleaded not guilty.
After the end of Friday’s hearing, Combs was authorized to turn his chair and face her mother, Janice Combs, who was sitting in the gallery of the courthouse.
“I love you,” he said, waving in his direction.
Opening declarations are scheduled for May 12 and the test should last between eight and 10 weeks.
