Sean Combs demands that Warner Bros reveals raw images of “Fall of Diddy”

With the selection of the jury at three weeks in his trial on Manhattan’s sex trafficking, Sean Combs fights with Warner Bros about his request for non -old sequences from the documentary series “Fall of Diddy”.

The lawyers of Combres had assigned Warner Bros in March by asking “all the recordings, including raw and unpublished images” of the interviews with two accusers who appeared in the series, broadcast in January on the studio subsidiary, Max.

The assignment of Combs also requires notes or magazines that the accusers have given to the producers of the documentary and to all the financial payments that the producers made to the accusers in the context of their involvement in the project.

Warner Bros fights assignment. On Tuesday, the studio lawyers asked the federal judge supervising the sex traffic case to cancel it in a nine -page legal file which cites the “privilege of the journalist” and calls the efforts of Combs a “fishing expedition” too wide.

“Mr. Combs is looking for points of view of interviews with two people presented in the documents,” the lawyer for studio Thomas B. Sullivan wrote to the American district judge Arun Subramanian.

“The interview outings he is looking for are protected by the privilege of the journalist who applies to unpublished journalization documents,” wrote the studio lawyer.

Journalists have long been protected against being forced to reveal unpublished notes and confidential sources within the framework of a range of long -standing decisions of the Federal and State Court recognizing the public’s interest in a free press.

“Mr. Combs did not meet and cannot meet, his burden to overcome this privilege,” wrote the studio lawyer.

The Warner Bros deposit does not name the two accusers whose notes and outings are sought by combs. Instead, they are described as individual and individual B.

“The individual A is the former personal chief of Mr. Combs,” wrote the studio. “She is presented in the docuseries explaining how Mr. Combs treated it when she was used by him, as well as on various rumors that she heard on her behavior during her time on her orbit.”

The studio refers to individual B as “an old romantic partner of Mr. Combres. It is presented in docuseries discussing the origins and the path of his relationship with him, including an alleged incident of sexual assault”.

Combs perhaps seeks outings and other files in the hope of finding something to use against the two accusers if they testify against him at the trial, wrote Warner Bros.’s lawyer.

However, “the recordings of interviews with the individual A and the individual B would be hearsay and, therefore, not directly eligible,” wrote the lawyer.

In addition, “the courts have always held this large assignment for journalistic sockets according to the hope that the unpublished equipment could Submit relevant in one way or another insufficient to overcome the journalist’s privilege, “the lawyer wrote.

The assignment of Combs had given Warner Bros a deadline on Tuesday for having given the releases and other records.

Combs lawyers have not yet publicly responded to the studio efforts to cancel his assignment.

Lawyers and media representatives for Combs did not immediately respond to requests for comments on the studio efforts.
