Pre-season matches can be fun to watch. Sometimes we have an overview of what a regular season team will look like. Sometimes we can try to judge the depth of a team compared to his opponent.
But the loss of road 33-16 of the Kansas City Chiefs against the Seattle Seahawks was not fun to watch. Sometimes the chiefs seemed to go through the movements, letting the Seahawks run on them. Some of the protruding facts came from guys such as the Large Skyy Moore receiver or the nazeeh corner half Johnson, who also had serious difficulties. Other highlights were followed by failures – like the formidable game of Bryan Cook, fourth, which was wasted when the offensive immediately renounced security.
So how can we assess the winners and losers of a game like this? We will try … but we hope we will never have to review the match again.

The tight winger Robert Tonyan: If there is a veteran who has always been presented to the training camp and in the field, it is this eighth year veteran. It does not seem to have any importance which quarterrier launches the ball. They all find Tonyan in the open areas that Travis Kelce has been operating for years. Against Seahawks, Tonyan recorded five catches for 41 yards and a touchdown. If there is a competition to become the third tight end of the chiefs (after Kelce and Noah Gray), Tonyan could not have done much more to assert his file.
Running Back Isiah Pacheco: During this offseason, many expected a large upgrade in the Chiefs’ Ballon Group. But what happens if the upgrade was already there? Pacheco was out of competition in the pre -season, displaying the explosiveness he seemed to be missing in 2024. Many runners did not play on Friday evening – and Pacheco did not play much – but his only touch was an capture and an electric race of 22 yards. This offense needs big games of its runners, and there is again hope that they come from n ° 10.
Running in Ballon Brashard Smith: No … it doesn’t look like a back of everything – but we already knew it, right? Smith showed us positive signs on Friday – in particular by transforming a loss into a gain of 10 yards by leaving the rear field in the third quarter. He has the speed to break big games, as well as road capacity to be a threat in passing passes. If Kansas City can be creative, he can contribute.
Quarter Gardner Minshew: Unless it is filled in a large victory, we all hope that the pre-season is the only time we see the quarter-back to play. But Minshew is fun to watch – and he has done well in pre -season. Friday, he gave another stable and effective performance, spending 7-9 passing and moving the ball with his legs. His deployment affected tower in Tonyan has shown how a quarter-back rescue with limited opportunities can earn the heart and mind of Kansas City fans.
The secondary Jeffrey Bassa: It looks like the excitement about this choice of fifth round of Oregon has grown quietly – and Friday evening, we saw more flashes of its potential. Late in the match, the recruit exploded through the Seahawks line to make a tackle for the loss. Although it is just a game, it happened a night when there was little like that. Throughout the offseason, Bassa showed us who he was.

Race defense: Since the opening reader, it was a ugly performance of all levels of defense. It is difficult to call a player here because so many people have contributed. Jerry Tillery, Marlon Tuipulotu, Cam Jones, Mike Edwards, Jack Cochrane and others have all played a role. There have been missed plated, defenders washed by blockers, penalties and more. It was the main reason why the game was so frustrating to watch. 268 yards on the ground with two affected? Pre-season or not… it was ugly.
Running in Elijah Mitchell balloon: Maybe the chiefs have already put it on the list. Maybe they already know that he is not doing the team. Anyway, they did not give a fourth -year veteran a lot of opportunities to succeed. Four net transport at only nine meters – including security in which Mitchell was spread well before reaching the melee line. On this game, it seemed that Mitchell had never been lucky. We will see if he gets a shot in the regular season – whether in Kansas City or elsewhere.
Short-yarding offense: At the first quarter, we like to see the head coach Andy Reid to go the fourth in the red zone. But we hate it when it is a predictable race that is not going anywhere. The game call was not creative and the blockage was not there. Yes … we cannot expect a lot of creativity in pre-season, but we can at least hope for execution. When the defense finally stopped in the second quarter, the offensive again tried to run the Defense of the Defense of the Seahawks – and abandoned security. We had chalk in this meaningful pre-season game-but unfortunately, we have already seen this kind of short-cours difficulties.
Note: The application of the “Winners” and “Losers is not intended to be a judgment on the talent or the character of these players. It’s just a simple way to note their performance in a single game. No lack of respect should be deducted.
