Scotland call up new man for Euro 2024 as Liverpool player drops out due to injury

Scotland have called Tommy Conway into their Euro 2024 squad following his recent injury withdrawals.

Steve Clarke made this decision following the injuries suffered by Ben Doak and Lyndon Dykes, both of whom were excluded from the team.

Liverpool starlet Doak has not played for the Reds since December and withdrew from the squad ahead of the summer tournament.

Dykes has been a key player for Scotland in recent years, playing every game in the Euro 2024 qualifying campaign and scoring nine goals in 36 appearances for his country.

As a result, Conway will get his first chance to impress in the senior setup.

THE City of Bristol The striker was part of the Under-21 squad and even scored in a 2-1 defeat to Turkey on Monday night.

Conway’s international recognition comes from scoring ten goals in 39 appearances for the Robins in the Championship.
