Scarlett Johansson Joins ‘Today with Jenna & Friends’ as Guest Co-Host

Scarlett Johansson will appear as a guest co-host on NBC’s “Today With Jenna & Friends,” beginning Tuesday, January 21.

Jenna Bush Hager shared the news of Johansson’s week-long gig with People magazine.

“Scarlett Johansson is the queen!” Bush Hager told the publication. “First of all, I’ve been obsessed with his films forever. The “Girl with the Pearl Earring,” I mean, that shows you that I’m a nerd who loves to read. She’s also a big reader, which will be a lot of fun. We have so much in common. »

On Monday, Bush Hager announced the names of three guest co-hosts who will join her during the first week of “Today With Jenna & Friends” following Hoda Kotb’s departure: Taraji P. Henson, Keke Palmer and Eva Longoria. Henson will appear on the morning show on January 13 and 17, while Longoria will join on January 14 and Palmer on January 15. Johansson will serve as guest co-host during the show’s second week.

In an interview with VarietyBush Hager opened up about the search for a new co-host, saying, “I’m involved.” She also mentioned that there is no set timeline for selecting a new partner for the show.

“I feel like our audience deserves the time to get to know a ton of different people, tons of different backgrounds,” she explained. “We hope to offer chairs to all types of people. I think there will definitely be surprises. And so it’s like when we know, I think we will know.

“Today With Jenna & Friends” is set to launch on Jan. 13 as a new fourth-hour version of “Today.”
