The LG GP83A is a 34″ 3440 x 1440 ultrawide gaming monitor with a Nano IPS panel. The Nano IPS was the best panel found on an LG gaming monitor before OLED technology took hold. LG’s Nano IPS panel is essentially a fast IPS panel with QLED-like technology. The fast IPS panel gives you a 1ms response time and a 144Hz refresh rate (OC up to 160Hz) with super-wide viewing angles. The quantum dot panel gives you excellent color reproduction (DCI-P3 98%) and a wide color gamut. DisplayPort and HDMI ports are available, and this monitor is both AMD FreeSync 2 certified and G-SYNC compatible.
This is one of the best 34-inch ultrawide gaming monitors you’ll get for $500 or less. OLED and Mini LED gaming monitors offer better picture quality, but only if you’re willing to shell out more than $1,000. If you’re looking for other alternatives, check out our top gaming monitor picks of 2024.
