Sarah Sherman sets the file on time.
The star of “Saturday Night Live”, 32, spoke for the first time of his parody “White Lotus” in the show Sketch Comedy last month which left Aimee Lou Wood, 31, feeling injured.
“I was delighted to play it because she is so emblematic, her character is so emblematic,” said Sherman to Vanity Fair in an interview published on Tuesday, “and I obviously never wanted to injure the feelings of anyone.
The episode of April 12 had fun in Donald Trump and his prices, using the characters of the third season of the HBO series to play a family scene. Wood went to social networks after the sketch to call Sherman’s point of view on his character, Chelsea.
The comic strip, however, insisted that she did not try to be nasty about the actress of “sex education”.
“The show is in constant dialogue with culture as it happens, and it happens very quickly,” said Sherman. “You have to be vigilant, do you know what I mean?”
The alum “You are not so invited to my Bat Mitzvah” noted that when it is on “SNL”, there are a lot of different roles to juggle.
“There are a lot out of your control,” said Sherman. “You play a lot of different games, you play a lot of different roles that you do not control. Much part of the show process was, for me – how do I answer this? Staying vigilant but also being part of the series – it’s your work.”
After the sketch of origin “SNL” was broadcast – which saw the actor make a British accent and wearing prosthetic teeth – Wood criticized the “average and funny” parody on his social networks.
“Such a shame because I had such a good time to watch it a few weeks ago,” she continued. “Yes, take the piss for sure – that’s what it is – but there must be a more intelligent, more nuanced and cheaper way?”
Wood added: “On a positive note, everyone agrees with me on this subject, so I’m happy to have said something instead of going to myself.”
The star shared with subscribers that she received from “thousands” of support messages and received apologies from “Saturday Night Live”.
However, according to TMZ, the NBC series has never apologized, but it may have spoken to someone she knows in the show “who could have apologized.
The initiates allegedly alleged that “SNL” did not “feel obliged to apologize” to Wood because the comic sketch series “Makes Fun of Elly’s Appearance”.
The English actress has apparently been deceived to republish an apology from a false story pretending to be Sherman, but she quickly deleted the post once she made her mistake.
The real Sherman, meanwhile, did Send a wooden gift afterwards.
Wood posted the “magnificent” gift on his Instagram stories, sharing a close -up of a nice floral arrangement.

Many Sherman co-stars “SNL” have spoken of the performance, coming to the defense of the funny woman.
“You know, we do things with love. I did not write the sketch,” Chloé Fineman told “Entertainment Tonight” earlier this month. “I was not necessarily a decision maker in all of this. But I know Sarah (Sherman) and I love her absolutely. I tried to have loved the previous week in something. And I just like it, and I know it was love and we continued. ”
Bowen Yang also discussed the controversial parody.
“However, she reacted to this sketch is completely valid,” said Yang, 34, “extra” in April. “With a parody, you somehow forget the kind of human and emotional cost. I have the impression that it is this thing that we tend to forget sometimes, and it is a reminder, and it seems that she talked to the people of the series and I hope there is room to get out.”
