Sarah Hyland says her ‘small boutique’ accent shifted to her husband Wells Adams

The actress told the steamy story Friday on “Live with Kelly and Mark” … saying she was going for a somewhat toned-down version for her “Little Shop of Horrors” character, Audrey, who normally has a strong New York accent – something she’s working on for her new gig.

That said, she still has a bit of Brooklyn in her speech, and she gave her husband Wells-Adams a glimpse of surprising results…and he found it really hot, apparently.

Sarah says she was super shocked to hear him say that… and explains that he went on to say that it was like he was married to Marisa Tomeithe character from the classic movie “My Cousin Vinny” – so, it looks like a little childhood crush might be a factor here.

Sarah and Wells met through social media a while ago and started dating shortly after. They moved in together in 2020 and planned to get married that year, but the pandemic pushed back their wedding plans…and they ultimately tied the knot in 2022.

BTW…Sarah’s stint on ‘LSoH’ comes nearly two decades after she starred as Jackie Bouvier in the musical ‘Grey Gardens’ – which ended in 2007. ‘Modern Family’ and others scenarios took precedence thereafter… now, she makes her triumph. returning to her roots as a theater actress.
