San Jose – A resident of Santa Clara was sentenced to 12 years and 11 months in the federal prison to pretend to be a woman to encourage a boy to masturbate in front of the camera, according to the judicial archives.
Sergio Casper Contreras, 48, was already a recorded sex offender and in probation for a previous conviction on juvenile pornography at the time of the offense. The lawyer for Contreras wrote in a note of determining the sentence that Contreras underwent a mistreatment throughout his childhood and that this case was the result of counteras trying to rehabilitate guilt.
“Mr. Contreras’ actions in this case illustrate his desire to stop the incriminated conduct and seek help,” said a memo of determining the defense. “It was fully in conformity and full of remorse from the start of the case.”
Contreras was charged in 2024 and pleaded guilty to two children’s sessions and possession of juvenile pornography during his first appearance, according to the files.
Contreras is hosted in a federal prison in Victorville, according to the files. He was also ordered to pay $ 3,000 to the boy he had the victim.
