Sunnyvale – A special season for the Santa Clara High School baseball team continued on Tuesday.
The Bruins won their 13th consecutive, improved at 22-3 this season and won the title of Division El Camino de la Santa Clara Valley Athletic League with a 5-1 victory in second place Fremont.
“We feel really well in our skin right now, that’s for sure,” said Santa Clara coach Pedro Martinez.
With 22 victories, the team also equaled the most victories by a team from Santa Clara in the Maxpreps era, since 2004. The 2005 team, which lost in the championship match of division I of the central section, at the Archbishop Mitty, also won 22 victories, the qualified series. The current team still has two regular season games.
And the objective is to imitate the 2005 team with a deep race in the CCS qualifiers.
“We beat five League” A “teams, including Leigh,” said Martinez. “I believe that we belong to the discussion of one of the best teams in the section.”
Fremont (15-6, 11-3) gave Santa Clara to his loss of division El Camino. But Santa Clara (15-1 El Camino) now beat the Firebirds two out of three and won the equality break if the regular season ends with improbable equality for first place. Santa Clara is expected to lose her last two and Fremont win his last four that it takes place.
On Tuesday, head striker Jaxton Chao led the first with only one, stole second and scored on wild land. His single with two withdrawals in the second round returned home Greg Salgado to do so 2-0.

Chao struck. 608 before the match. A day of 2 for 4 made 0.603 on average.
“It is not a sweet .600,” said Martinez.
The score remained 2-0 until the fifth when the Bruins scored three points to make a five-point advantage. Andrew’s trafficking led with a shot on the fence of the right field for its third circuit of the season. Receiver Charles Conley and Dominick Chavarria added simple RBI.
Five points were sufficient while Drew Difasterfer has made five laundries on the mound, granting three strokes and without walks while removing three. Differfer, returning from an elbow injury, was described by Martinez as the AS of staff. He improved at 4-0 in the season and lowered his ERA to 0.41.
“The objective is to continue rolling, to continue to win,” said DIFREFERFER. “Even against the best teams, we have proven that we can beat them, batters them. Our goal is to go deep and win CCS.”
Connor Armstrong led the sixth for Fremont with a double. He scored on a simple by Kevin Koval. But Santa Clara’s lift, John Kepner, settled after that and withdrew the last four strikers he faced in strike to close the victory.
Chao, traffic and Chavarria made two strokes for Santa Clara. Logan Mullins had two strokes for Fremont.
