San Mateo police asking for the public to identify the suspect involved in a collision that killed one – The Mercury News

A man was killed in a collision with a headline in San Mateo on Saturday, and the police ask the public to help identify the suspect involved.

The victim was Mark Kremer, a resident of San Mateo, 56 years old. The police said that the incident occurred on Saturday before 9 p.m. on Saturday, a press release from the police service said that the accident occurred west of the 1400 block on Boulevard de Fashion Island near the bridge towards South Norfolk Street. Police said Kremer had been hit by an unknown car and died of his injuries on the scene.

San Mateo police ask the public if there were witnesses or video sequences that could have captured the accident. The accident occurred near a computer store near Iona Technology Inc. The police asked the people who lived, worked or visited the area to review the images of the camera they could take between South Norfolk Street and Chess Drive, focusing specifically on the area of ​​1400 Fashion Island Blvd. and South Norfolk Street, Saturday between 8:45 p.m. and 9 p.m.

Police said they were also open to Dash Cam images of all vehicles traveling east or west on Boulevard de Fashion Island to or from South Norfolk Street which could have captured other vehicles in the region before or after the accident.

Police also encouraged the suspect to come forward rather than let the police find them.

“Leaving the premises of an accident is not an easy thing to transport and we understand that it was likely to weigh you,” the police said in their press release. “The stress of the unknown can be a heavy burden to bear, but we urge you to do the right thing and to manifest us.”
