San Diego Police Snipers who killed an armed man in the Ranch Scripps Id’D

The San Diego County Sheriff’s Bureau published the names of the San Diego Police Department members of the Swat team involved in the death of a 59 -year -old man who would have brandished a firearm in a residential area north of Scripps Ranch.

The police are identified as Brandon Jordan, a 17 -year -old veteran from the San Diego Police Service and Swat Sniper assigned to Central Division Patrol, and Chris Lingenhol, a sniper Swat who has been with force for 10 years, currently assigned to the Patrol to the Mid City division.

The March 25 shootout intervened after the police responded to a call to the 911 of a man pointing a weapon on people near Angelique Street and Cypress Canyon Road south of the Scripps promenade. The region is known as Miramar Ranch North.

A perimeter was installed around the shooter to protect the neighbors and help evacuate a worker from the antiparasitic struggle who had covered himself in his work vehicle.

According to the Sheriff’s office, while the swat officers approached the alleged shooter, the suspect pointed a firearm towards the officers, who then shot their rifles, hitting and killing the man. A handgun was found near the suspect, said the sheriff’s office.

On Saturday, the name of the man has still not been published, pending the notification of the next parents.

As part of the county protocol designed to prevent agencies from investigating their own officers, the homicide unit of the San Diego County Sheriff conducts an investigation into the police shooting.

According to Lieutenant Fox of the Sheriff, when the homicide unit ends his investigation, he will then be examined by the office of the County Prosecutor of San Diego to determine if the officers have criminal responsibility for their actions.

The San Diego police service will conduct its own administrative investigation into the police who unload their firearms.

Anyone with information on the incident can call the sheriff’s homicide unit to (858) 285-6330 or after hours at (858) 868-3200. Appellants wishing to remain anonymous can contact crime caps at (888) 580-8477.
