A San Diego police officer can be seen on a new body camera locking himself in the backseat of his car with a female suspect who wanted to have sex with him – before calling a colleague to let him out.
Anthony Hair resigned from the SDPD after an investigation into the embarrassing incident was launched and just one day before his interview with his superiors.
The new footage begins after he arrested the unidentified woman on suspicion of stealing a car on August 15, 2023.
The suspect, dressed in a red tank top and red shorts, was one of two people wanted in connection with the carjacking, but also had a warrant out for her arrest.
Hair was supposed to take him to police headquarters and then to the Las Colinas Detention Center in Santee.
As they returned to the police station, the woman can be heard offering him sex.

The incident, which was largely captured on body cameras, began after Officer Hair arrested the unidentified woman on suspicion of stealing a car on August 15, 2023.
She asks him if he is married, to which Hair wants to know why she is asking him.
‘You’re not that bad. What’s it going to hurt me if I work on the system, you know what I mean? That’s how I see shit.’
She then asks, “Are you single?” To which he responds: “Yeah, but that’s not the case. »
His shocking response: “I’m ready to fuck right now.” »
“Don’t say that right now… Don’t say that right now because it’s all being recorded right now,” Hair said.
As they continue towards the detention center, he is heard asking her what she is doing in the back seat.
Hair was supposed to take him to police headquarters and then to the Las Colinas Detention Center in Santee. As they returned to the police station, the woman began propositioning him for sex.
Hair then began driving his car down a residential street, according to his GPS, and turned off his body camera.
The story picks up about 20 minutes later with Hair calling a fellow police officer, admitting that he had locked himself in the back of his squad car and asking if he had a master key that could open it.
The unidentified co-worker described Hair as panicked.
“I asked him if he was okay. He said yes, then he asked me if I had the key to my patrol car with me…I asked why he was asking and what did he need. Officer Hair then asked me if I could go meet him,” he said.
“I asked him where he was and he said, near Cottonwood…I asked him why he needed me, and he said he would tell me when I got there. He said he was really embarrassed.
Hair then began driving his car down a residential street, according to his GPS, and turning off his body camera. The story picks up about 20 minutes later with Hair calling a fellow police officer, admitting that he had locked himself in the back of his squad car and asking if he had a master key that could open it.
Shortly after, the cop arrives on the scene and opens the back door to discover Hair and the woman together in the back seat.
By the time he was found, the officer had been trapped with the suspect in the back of the car for more than an hour.
Hair denied anything unusual had happened, repeatedly saying he was “watching” the suspect when the door accidentally locked on him and the camera turned off because he was had dropped from its clip.
“When I was waking her up, that’s when I noticed this door closing on me. That’s when I was trying to open the door,” Hair said.
The suspect also claimed during the investigation that nothing inappropriate had happened between them but that he hoped they could meet up once she was released.
Hair denied anything unusual had happened, repeatedly saying he was “watching” the suspect when the door accidentally locked on him and the camera turned off because he was had dropped from its clip.
Hair resigned from his job about a month after the investigation began and a day before his interview with internal affairs.
“He wanted to go with me when I was done with the arrest warrant or whatever I was arrested for,” the woman said.
However, upon investigation, traces of semen were discovered on Hair’s belt after his discovery. He was asked to reconstruct their time together as part of the investigation.
Hair resigned from his job about a month after the investigation began and a day before his interview with internal affairs.
It is unclear whether he faces criminal charges.
