Samsung’s upcoming smartwatches and headphones fully revealed in new leak

With less than two weeks until Samsung’s next Unpacked event, the previews are starting to pile up. Longtime leaker Evan Blass today shared what appear to be official high-resolution marketing images of the soon-to-be-announced Galaxy Watch Ultra, Galaxy Watch 7, Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, and Galaxy Buds 3.

The company’s “Ultra” smartwatch matches the renders we’ve already seen, although these shots reveal that the device will use a proprietary Apple Watch-style connection between the hardware and the watch bands. Samsung has in the past opted for spring-loaded pins for greater compatibility with third-party bands, but that appears to be changing for this model.

The watch’s screen is still round despite the circle-shaped case surrounding it and the orange accents, well… they’re also quite reminiscent of Apple’s flagship wearable. At least Samsung’s version will be available in multiple colors. Three of them, to be exact: the images show silver, a darker natural titanium, and black.

The standard Galaxy Watch 7 more closely follows the company’s usual aesthetic; I really like the look of this olive green version with the little pops of color on both sides of the watch band.

Blass also shared images of the Galaxy Buds 3 and Galaxy Buds 3 Pro. Both are moving toward a stem design. They’re more angular than Apple’s AirPods, but the overall vibe is pretty similar, especially for the glossy white Galaxy Buds 3.

The “Pro” earbuds stand out a little more with their dark gray finish and clear case cover, but they too ditch the more subtle, fully in-ear fit and opt for a stem look. We will have to wait for Samsung to explain the advantages of this design change. This could contribute to better voice calls (and interactions with the AI assistant) since the mic will move slightly closer to a person’s mouth.

Samsung is expected to announce some fairly iterative new foldables — the Galaxy Fold 6 and Flip 6 — at its Unpacked event in Paris on July 10. But perhaps more exciting this summer will be the company’s next wave of wearables, particularly its first-ever smart ring, which are also expected to debut at the show.
