Original article: July 19, 2024 (02:22 ET): Samsung just launched its Galaxy Buds 3 Pro along with a series of products at its Unpacked event last week. However, it seems that the company has temporarily pulled the earbuds from sale due to quality control issues.

Early Galaxy Buds 3 Pro buyers have reported a few issues, the main one being that the eartips would tear when removing them from the earbuds. The Korean brand recommended a method to safely remove them earlier this week.

Samsung’s website now says the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro’s shipping date has been pushed back from July 24 to August 28 (see below). Best Buy’s website doesn’t allow users to pre-order, but simply says the product is “coming soon.”

Samsung’s website and Best Buy aren’t the only outlets affected, as Amazon has completely removed the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro listing. Instead, you’re greeted with the screen below. For what it’s worth, the regular model is still available for pre-order through Samsung and Amazon and has a launch date of July 24.

Samsung Korea apologizes for Galaxy Buds 3 Pro issues

“We deeply apologize for any quality issues you may have encountered with some of the products you purchased during the pre-sale period,” Samsung Korea said in a translated statement spotted by Yonhap News.

“If you encounter any inconvenience with the product you purchased, you can visit a nearby service center to receive appropriate measures such as exchange or refund,” the company continued. “We will do our best to thoroughly inspect all processes before the official nationwide launch on the 24th to prevent similar incidents from happening again.”

We’ve reached out to Samsung to see if sales of the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro have indeed been halted. We’ve also asked the company what recourse is available to people who have already purchased and received the earbuds. We’ll update this article as soon as Samsung responds.
