Samsung offers surprise free offer to Galaxy S24 Ultra buyers

If you’re looking to buy a new Galaxy S24 Ultra handset, Samsung has a new deal to tempt you.

Samsung’s premium Galaxy S24 Ultra handset was announced in January and since then, the S24 family has become one of Samsung’s best-selling smartphone lines. Still, the South Korean company continued to offer special offers, discounts and free accessories to keep its sales high.

A recently announced deal gives UK customers the chance to not only buy the Galaxy S24 Ultra, but also snag a free Galaxy Watch6 as part of the bundle.

This is not the only reduction offered. Samsung offers £200 cashback after purchase, although you must claim it as a separate transaction and meet other criteria listed on the Samsung Cashback website.

Then you can exchange an existing smartphone for an additional discount. It depends on the model and condition; the company is offering up to £395 on a Galaxy Z Fold4.

Finally, you have the free Galaxy Watch6, which will be added to your cart during checkout. The WearOS-powered smartwatch is a great companion for the S24 Ultra, but anyone considering this deal should know that Samsung is expected to launch the new Galaxy Watch7 line at next month’s Galaxy Unpacked event.

Samsung has confirmed another discount available for those who purchase a new Galaxy S24 Ultra before the end of the month.

If customers use the Samsung Shop app, they can add the code APP24 during checkout to receive an additional ten percent off their cart. With the Galaxy S24 Ultra costing between £1,249 and £1,549 here in the UK, that’s up to £155 off available via the Shop app, on top of £200 cashback and up to £395 via the exchange program.

Would you believe there are more? At the bottom of the page is an option to save thirty percent when purchasing a set of Galaxy Buds true wireless earbuds with your new Galaxy smartphone. As with the proposed Galaxy Watch6, Samsung is expected to launch a new line of Galaxy Buds during July’s Galaxy Unpacked event.

Updated: Sunday June 23: As the Galaxy S24 Ultra approaches its sixth month anniversary (that’s almost fifty for the lifespan of a smartphone), Samsung won’t “leave it behind” when it launches the next Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6. Alongside the two foldable handsets will be an updated version of Samsung’s Android-based OneUI operating system.

Samsung will include the first major Galaxy AI update as part of this update. In addition to general optimizations and improvements to existing AI features, the South Korean company is expected to expand generative AI capabilities in image editing software; one of these features will be built-in painting, allowing users to change the style of an entire image or generatively edit a small section of the image.

These updates will be backported to the Galaxy S24 platform and available for free. If you buy the S24 Ultra during the current offer, you can expect everything new from Galaxy AI at no extra cost.

The upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event will launch two new smartphones, namely the Z Fold 6 and the Z Flip 6, but they are both foldable devices. Barring any surprises, the Galaxy S24 Ultra will remain Samsung’s premium candybar phone.
