I have used many different phones in several form factors: large, small, phones that bend too fragile to work. My next thought is: if I were S25 more, I would be worried.

In my first practices with the S25 Edge during a preview event in New York, I was struck by the fact that the new phone carries its s25 counterparts. It maintains the 200 -megapixel wide camera from the S25 Ultra, the 6.7 -inch S25 Plus screen and the Elite Snapdragon 8 processor that you will find on the other three S25 devices. But it does it in an elegant 5.8 mm elegant titanium frame, blocking at 163 grams. It looks like something I can throw in my bag or my pocket and barely notice.

In fact, the S25 EDGE seems to me exactly what a flagship phone in the middle of the line should be: a fresh and high version of the basic model, which attracts premium features to justify its $ 1,100 price. The fascinating design, the wide and ultra-level camera and the spacious screen actually make it an attractive option for all those who want something a little out of the ordinary.

But that does not mean that there is no compromise in store, the most notable being the battery; More about it later.

The biggest question leading to the release of S25 Edge was: why would someone want a thinner phone anyway? After spending a little time with the aircraft, I started to see the call.

The biggest compromise, at least on paper, seems to be the capacity of the battery. The 3,900 mAh battery of the Galaxy S25 Edge pale compared to what you will get on the basic line S25 (4000 mAh) and the S25 Plus (4,900 mAh). Samsung does not share the number of hours you will get from the battery of the S25 Edge, except to say that this will last you all day. It’s something else I can’t wait to test. The S25 EDGE supports a wired load of 25 watts and a wireless load of 15 watts.

With finer phones, camera equipment can also be reduced. But the S25 EDGE has three cameras: a width of 200 megapixels, an ultra-refaction of 12 megapixels and a 12 megapixel selfie camera. The megapixels are not everything, so I can’t wait to see how it all results in a real world photograph. Samsung points to Galaxy Ai for helping to increase the quality of the camera and to supply photo retouching features such as generative Edit.

Like the S25 Plus, the S25 edge has 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB and 512 GB of storage options. It will cost a little more than the S25 Plus, however: $ 1,100 for 256 GB and $ 1,220 for 512 GB. But it is still lower than that of the high -end $ 1,300.

You will find that the same Galaxy AI present that Samsung has praised on the rest of its S25 phones, such as Sketch to Image and Audio Eraser. Gemini features are also on board, such as Gemini Live and Circle to search.
