The reported dismissal comes after Sam Brinton received a felony charge last month for allegedly stealing a woman’s luggage in Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) on September 16. The theft allegedly took place when a woman arriving from New Orleans drove to the baggage carousel to find that her navy blue Vera Bradley wheeled bag was missing. By Alpha News:
Law enforcement in Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) was alerted to a missing suitcase in the baggage claim area on September 16. The victim, an adult woman, said she flew to MSP on a Delta flight from New Orleans and went to pick up her checked baggage at carousel seven.
Airport records confirmed the Vera Bradley navy wheelie bag arrived at 4.40pm but was missing from the carousel. Law enforcement therefore reviewed CCTV footage from the baggage claim area and observed Brinton removing a navy blue wheelie bag from Carousel Seven, according to a criminal complaint.
The complaint states that Brinton removed a luggage tag from the bag, placed it in a purse he was carrying, and “then left the area at a rapid pace.” Brinton arrived at MSP airport around 4:27 p.m. on an American Airlines flight from Washington, D.C., but did not check in any baggage, meaning he had no reason to go to baggage claim , according to the complaint.
The victim, who estimated the bag cost $2,325, confirmed to police that the navy blue bag Brinton took from the surveillance footage did indeed belong to him. Brinton then took an Uber to the InterContinental St. Paul Riverfront hotel where he checked in with the blue bag, according to the criminal complaint. He then returned to the airport on September 18 with the same bag in hand when he left for Washington, DC.
Two hours after the interview, Brinton then allegedly called the interviewer and admitted to not being “entirely honest”. According to Brinton, he mistakenly took the navy blue bag because he was tired from his trip and “got nervous” when, upon arriving at his hotel room, he realized the bag belonged to someone. another.
Not knowing what to do, Brinton then allegedly told police that he left the woman’s clothes in the hotel room drawers and took the bag with him anyway to keep up appearances.
Brinton was again charged last week with stealing another woman’s luggage at the airport in addition to the previous charge when 8NewsNow investigators revealed on Thursday that Brinton allegedly stole a woman’s luggage at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas. A felony warrant has been issued.
“A felony warrant has been issued for Sam Brinton, a deputy undersecretary, sources said. The charge relates to a grand theft worth between $1,200 and $5,000, according to records,” the outlet reported.
Ahead of Monday’s report on Brinton’s firing, the Biden DOE only said he had been furloughed.
According to Daily MailBrinton held a “spanking seminar” at a kink conference weeks after the alleged incident under the nickname “‘NuclearNerd’ which is still used on the fetish website”.
“Last Saturday, Sam Brinton, Deputy Undersecretary of the Office of Spent Fuel and Waste Disposal, who could face up to five years in prison for bag theft, presented a seminar titled: “Spanking: calculus to chemistry,” the Courier reported.
“The seminar was held at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel & Suites in Los Angeles, where Brinton stayed Friday and Saturday night,” he added. “The event was titled: ‘LA Leather Getaway’ and was sponsored by CLAW Corp., a national leather charity.”
Prior to his appointment to the Biden administration, Brinton openly opposed conversion therapy and taught “Kink 101” workshops on college campuses, according to National Pulse. In one particular studio, Brinton wore a dress standing above three men wearing leather dog masks. Brinton called it a “puppy play” fetish in a 2016 Weekly metro article.
