Sadio Mané missed a penalty in Al-Nassr’s Saudi Pro League win over Al Feiha on Friday.
Luis Castro’s side found themselves trailing after just six minutes at the Al-Awwal Stadium, with former Rangers striker Fashion Sakala giving the visitors an unlikely lead.
Al-Nassr were without Cristiano Ronaldo, with the Portuguese superstar suspended after receiving a straight red card during the club’s Saudi Cup semi-final exit last week.
So when the hosts were awarded a penalty as half-time approached, Mané seized the opportunity to level the match from twelve yards out.
In the end, the Senegalese striker’s shot went well over the crossbar, with his team going into the break still trailing.

As the match approached its final stages, Al-Nassr would finally capitalize on their momentum when Saudi defender Abdulelah Al-Amri equalized in the 72nd minute.
After taking the initiative, the hosts pressed on and Mané atoned for his earlier mistake by firing them in front in the 76th minute before adding a third with a sublime solo run moments later.
With a fightback win and qualification for next season’s AFC Champions League assured, Ronaldo shared his congratulations to his teammates in a message on social media, writing: “Well done, team.”
However, while Mané certainly made up for his penalty mistake, he is unlikely to take Ronaldo’s place as the club’s designated taker in the near future.

Since arriving at the club in January last year, the 39-year-old has a perfect penalty record, scoring all 14 he has taken for the club, including penalties.
In fact, Ronaldo has not missed a penalty since Manchester United were kicked out of the FA Cup by Middlesbrough in February 2022, with Joe Lumley denying the five-time Ballon d’Or winner during normal time.
